At a minimum. Couldve killed him
Yeah, they may be idiots but I hate "bassmasters" more. I've never had a jet ski come right through my decoys, or fish in my decoys.
You should see what a Zara spook and braided line does to them.
Had my big boat up on plane on the river and a jet ski going the other way pulled a quick 90 and crossed in front of the bow. My nephew, who was driving my boat, nearly annihilated him. Not sure what possessed the guy on the ski to do that.
They love crossing the barge wash here on the Illinois River. I can't imagine what would happen if they bail right behind a barge. I would think it would pull you right under. Heck when we beach the boat on a sandbar, when the barges are approaching you can see the water getting sucked right out, there might be 10 more feet of bank exposed. Surprised there are not more deaths on rivers.
Feel pretty fortunate that we don't have a whole lot of that around me. I assume because our water, in general, is pretty rough and pretty cold. But when I'm drift fishing and a couple do come around, I totally understand why the lake people b*tch. I'm not one for banning much of anything, but that perpetual whine is awful and just destroys your ability to relax.
'Murica! Hell yeah.
That's what people who live on the water also say about people blowing duck calls and shooting shotguns.
