just curious what that call(his personal) would fetch on the market. i know they came out with a replica and capitalized on the cronies. His maple(i think) and ivory DC was legendary in the videos and then vanished when he went cutdown.

Jim has always blown cutdowns. The DC was the closest he could get to one in an RNT.

It is an iconic call for real! I’m sure it is still on one of his lanyards at home. Jimbo showed me one time that it had been blown so much that the tone board had a grove etched into it from the reeds, actually changing the original tonal qualities of it.

Didn't RNT make a limited run of DC's like that? Maybe for Cabela's or MPW's?

They did the DC,SB,Mondo in that color combo through MPW.

My dc mondo was custom from Mr Ronquest. It runs flawless. It’s by far my best RNT branded call-it’s ahead of my cocobolo original.

For me he’s so genuine and made such a great call on the dc mondo.
I’ve never met him but he seems like a awesome nice guy.

I went through all the mondos new and old... I no longer own any of them but I will tell you the 2016 and prior Mondo was a different animal than the mondos of today.. The mondos of today are neutered.

I'm not disparaging anyone. I'm saying RNT made changes to the call so it wouldn't break at the cork slot.. Those changes have changed the call to the point that it's not what it used to be.... Facts..
