At least he admits he was going hunting and (I presume) carrying a gun. Most people in the spotlight(not that he’s in it much anymore) shy away from such things in order to be popular.

Carter has always been a better "Elder Statesman" than he was a president. I wish him the best during his recovery

Not a good President, but a good person.

I'm going in the morning on my new knee. I'll probably bust my azZ too.

    So true.
Have to give him credit for the Camp David accords. Also, he was one of the first major southern politicians to run and get elected on an anti-segregation platform when he got elected governor of Georgia.
BTW, he wrote a good book about hunting and fishing in the 90s: An Outdoor Journal: Adventures and Reflections. Fayetteville: University of Arkansas Press. ISBN 978-1-55728-354-2. There is a funny story about duck hunting in a beaver swamp. He and Roz love the outdoors tremendously. Even if you're not a fan of his time as president (I'm not), it's worth reading his stories about the outdoors. Like somebody else said, I hope I'm turkey hunting when I'm 94.(Might take me that long to get proficient at it...)

I hope I'm still alive and active at 94. Good for him. Sorry he had an accident.

Maybe it took Carter, to get Reagan?
