Great friend and I had a awesome hunt. Shot Blue Bills (lesser and greater), Bufflehead,Goldeneye, Scoter, and some Old Squaw. Six different species and were done in a little over a hour. Been awhile since I've shot some real nice mature Greater Scaup. To cold(water temp was right at 35) 1222190926.jpg 1222191021a_HDR.jpg 1222190830.jpg 1222191219a_HDR.jpg for the Water Spaniel to retrieve them all, but he got a couple for us.

Actually Bills eat pretty good. But we have a Menonite couple towns over that for $6 a pound makes all ducks and geese taste great in a awesome beef stick/slim jim.

I've had good ones and bad ones out here, so I normally give them to an Asian lady down the street that loves them.:tu

There are a few guys on the CA forum that have food industry backgrounds that make even the funky sea ducks and dives taste good in sausage and sticks and plenty of others that send the meat out to have sticks made. One guy gave me a few sticks that were made from scoters that I thought were going to be brutal, I have to admit that they were pretty damn good.

    $6 a pound. I’d go broke.
Going rate between 3 meat shops in town is $3.50.
