    There are at least 3 birds nests I can see from my deck (where i brush out the dog) that are made almost exclusively out of chessie winter coat. Got birds galore picking the tumbleweeds out of the yard. Thank god hes done with that...for now...

    No. He just made a very stupid comment. I have always run yellows for almost 50yrs and had some very fine ones. But I now have my 1st choc. He is possibly the best young dog at his age that I have ever owned. Smart as a whip and loves to hunt, and very easy to train.

    I've always been partial to black dogs. That's what my dad had when I was a kid. When I get my next pup I wouldn't be opposed to having a yellow dog if it works out that way. Not really interested in other colors.

    I have owned all colors at some point. 90% have been black.
