No one has said ban 100 % of non residents just make it where the public lands are not over run we kinda feel like the Texas residents being invaded from the south but we getting it from all directions just slow down the numbers to a manageable number all we are asking what part of that do of some of you not get
My favorite marsh has more OOS plates from Arkansas and Kansass in it every day.....day after day, than in state MO plates. I don't hate them or want them to go away. They are just guys wanting to kill a duck like the rest of us. They are spending the time and money to travel OOS to hunt. Can't hate a guy for that. The ONLY thing I hate is their constant lawnmower engines moving around all day. Just set up and hunt and quit moving. The marsh can't get settled with constant landscaping.

Federal government has not done anything to stop the Texas invasion... probably the same story for anything slowing down out of staters in Kansas.

Outside of the box idea time: ban motorized boats for waterfowl hunting on public land. No blowing out the roosts early morning, no blowing out the midday loafs (like at CB), makes it harder to get big groups/lots of gear into places, essentially makes public land refuges that only the hardest working will get to, and would weed out some hunters.

On a podcast, one of the folks from CB talked about why certain pools continue to be allowed to have boats. He brought up a good point that most do not think about in our young hard charging days.... is it fair to the older, less mobile folks to not be able to hunt public land due to it being walk in only?

That's why it would never happen. Handicapped people would be in the same boat as well (no pun intended). I suppose an exception could be made for those but hard to stop others from abusing it.

Depends on what your goal is, I suppose.
At first glance, this seems like it could be a great idea. Then, when you look at the WMA's in Kansas (and the NWR) you'll see that many, if not most areas don't require a (motor)boat to cover the area. Pool 3A at CBWMA is a good example of this: no motorized boats allowed in that pool, yet during the early teal season in particular, that pool is saturated from the edges to the center with hunting parties.
Pool 2 and 4A on the same WMA would be different stories: the centers of those pools might require a hike/paddle of nearly a mile to access.
While banning boats with gasoline engines would help with the disruption that motorboats create, it wouldn't address the over-crowding to a great extent.

How about allowing only electric motors? That would let us old guys still get to many of the good spots, but would eliminate the noise and disturbance of v-twin engines with straight-through mufflers running around the pools for hours on end, since electrics would have a very limited range, VERY limited speed, and be virtually silent.

Hear me out……

How about gas engines for the locals, electric trolling motors for the immediate surrounding states and oars for the long distance OOS’ers (Except those SOB’s from SC, just a paddle for them!!)?

I think this could work!!!! :l

All of us will face Father Time. My Dad's crippled and hunts with a walker by himself and only carries a few decoys, or hunts where he can drive close and unload. He's not asking for special treatment Or special access. You do what you can. Limited? Sure, but he still has some good days. Lifetime of amazing hunts, no regrets.

Not everything needs to be easy or equal.

Send them all a 10 99

there is a saying “ we don’t negotiate with terrorists”

apparently they bend over backwards for them. Reason we are not going to a NR Turkey draw this year is so the outfitters can have a longer advance warning to tell their clients. I can’t wait to see the outcome of this meeting.

Send them all a 1099?

Lol what the heck is wrong with you?

Someday, I'm going to Kansas to see what all the damn fuss is about. I guess all these years I've been missing out
