A comment One shot Bandit made got me thinking.
What have you killed from the duck blind ( of goose) other than ducks. I guess a few snipe and pesky songbirds as a kid.
    Friends have killed crows.
Ive had coyotes in the goose spread a few times. red fox literally at the end of my gun barrel, but never killed
On one goose hunt the elk were on the field and the next day came through my spread. I had the 7mm for day three,.. but they didnt show.
Ive had deer walk up to my MOJO
The only thing i can think of right now is a rooster had been jumped as guys pushed the shoreline,.. they couldn't shoot I was in the blind.90 yards out I killed the bird after it passed me. The one pheasant hunter got mad,.. " my dog jumped it" its my bird. I said he could come out and get it,..

More mosquitoes and flies than ducks, sadly.

I had a rutting 8 pt. buck come right to the pit and start thrashing the bush I'd just peed on. He was MAD!! I don't know if he could only see me from the waist up or what, but he kept advancing on me. I had the barrel just inches from his eyes, with safety off, before he decided to quit stomping, snorting and waving his antlers at me. Being a new employee of the Conservation Department, I was unsure if I have a job if I pulled the trigger. I was also sure who was going to win if he came in the pit. It was a tense moment.
