Lares calls pics

    Why do I remember having a hybrid with a black toneboard? Were the earlier ones black, I'm starting to think I'm crazy

    Pretty sweet calls! How does the wood tone board sound? Does is it have the spit grooves?

    It does have the grooves. The sound isn't as loud or crisp. The volume could also be because the bore on that call is a little smaller.

    I have seen a black toneboard somewhere. I've never owned one.

    Been a while since this one has been to the top of the page, but I have a friend getting into the Lares collecting game and I wanted him to take a look at some of these beautiful calls. I know a lot of the pictures are gone now but still plenty to make him drool.

    If anyone is interested in downsizing their Lares collection and selling a few, just let me know. I'm sure he would would be interested in any older cool Lares stuff. It's pretty hard to come by for the new collector.
