Curiosity got the best of me and I ordered a magnum hen. I used to run a hybrid hunting and replaced it with a cwf. What’s everyone’s opinions on the magnum hen?

I really like it, good range, not quite as whiny as the T1 for me but still can get a good squeal. I don’t remember who said it, but they said most lates had a “tin-y” sound, which I think is the best way to describe it. The MH does not have this sound IMO.

I agree on the "tin-y" or thin sound (on the hybrid).

What's this mag hen sound like compared to a Hybrid and T-1 with a 1.365 dog-eared reed? thx.

I dont care what it sounds like... that's the "problem" with calls/callers these days.
I care how the ducks react to it.....
You hear it all the time from people...that's really raspy, that is super tin-y. That sounds weird.... Thats loud! bla bla bla
I dont care. :no My job is to find out what the ducks like..:yes
    Carry on, please. ;):)

I have found my new hybrid in clear acrylic has none of the tin-y characteristics spoken of. Also, reed length in my old hybrid helps with the mentioned tin-y sound.

my older hybrid and t-1 were tin-y sounding until I got the reed where it needed to be and shaped right.... at least it helped a great deal.
