I have been going hard. My buddy from southern Michigan is in town so it is full bore hunting. Some days have been pretty good. Not great numbers except a few limit Ringer shoots but some bands and some good specimen birds.

I am having a bit of Imgur issues...I will post a few pics as I get this resolved.

Ok, So my season died with a wimper. It was an all day soaking rain which is the kiss of death in Florida.
The bright side is we were in a terrible drought....and this was really needed. It also let me and my buddy process the weeks birds and pack his gear for his trip back to Michigan. I also packed up some gear that I will not be using with next weekends youth hunt.

It was not my most birds ever in a season but that was more about me trying to hold myself down around 100 birds. My son went just over so I might have been up about 125. The fact I was grinding a lot and making chorizo so that I could cook duck chili for lunch for staff and friends at TMG WMA burned a lot of birds.
We did shoot 3 banded birds in the last week which is cool.
I was able to get in hunts with old friends and new friends which was a big plus.
I met a fellow Refuge forum member who was down to get his tree ducks and Mottled.
I got three new young hunters their first birds which always puts a smile on my face. I got them their UW-F first duck pins.
The cold rain ended this morning so I will grind the last chorizo birds and vacuum seal some teal breasts today.
