Anyone know these guns? Trying to get more information. Not too concerned about value but if it's a 2 3/4 chamber capable of more or less modern loads. It's a side by side. Says A grade and I think it's either a Syracuse or Ithaca NY. Going to try to look at it tomorrow. It's a 20 ga I'm pretty certain but not certain it is marked. I'm going to check to see if the barrel has been cut, check choke, Chambers, barrel, and be sure of the guage. Not certain which steel this gun is but I can try to gather a bit more info later. I'm interested in using it lightly if possible. Not for waterfowl but dove and possibly upland. I'm not familiar with these. Can't find my gun book right now.
Long history in that company. Older high quality guns were made with damascus barrels and are unsafe to shoot with modern loads. Ithaca bought them and made some cheaper versions that are generally safe with modern low pressure loads
I'm thinking since this is an A grade it is from the mid 30's. That's kinda the time line I found. Biggest concern is that it's a 2 9/16 Chambers.
