Picked this one up this week. Old Pat applied for barrel, w newer (1950s) keyhole insert.

For those asking where to send one, I’m partial to Gordon Bragg LA cut Olt and Tyler Rogers Olt.

Here’s mine. Had more Mondos over the yrs that were broken or lost. Every call here has been hunted, I clean em up some after the season. But I don’t believe in strictly shelf calls. To me, a duck call w the appropriate amount of wear and dirt is like those vintage shotguns w some of the blueing worn, they just look better.

How do you like the singletons? Been looking hard at them lately but I’m unsure as I’m very new to cutdowns. Been blowing jframes for the last 20 years

Jordan, your "Old boy got it right," or some-such, reply to someone's Singleton LA cut post, along with someone else's referencing how loud they are, helped send my never ending search for more downrange leverage in that direction last fall. Out of the box, it seemed, to my non-cutdown-running self, much the same as the other four makes I've auditioned, and I put it up, rather than mess with it during the season.

But when post-season withdrawal eventually prompted me to break it back out and play with tuning, I was more than pleasantly surprised by how many ducks I could readily find in it. No doubt have it tuned lighter than any self-respecting cutdown guy would, but I ain't proud. Just tickled to have something that will holler that much louder than my Stanley Deceivers for breaking so easily and run so loose for.finishing.

'Course, the birds may not share my enthusiasm for the call as I'm running it, but I've gotten my money's worth out of the anticipation of finding out regardless.
