Do you prefer hunting for a pit blind or boat blind?
If I had to pick just one I'd go with the boat because you can move with the birds and wind conditions.
For me, here and now, a pit. Don't miss my boat blind even a little. Much more often used the boat for access (or part thereof, along with a pirogue) than with its blind up. But there are any number of other regions or situations where that answer would differ.
I’d prefer to hunt from a pit but the boat blind would be ideal for most of our hunting. I currently hunt neither and just make portable/temporary blinds in the vegetation where we’re hunting that day.
I've found a pit to be one of those things that cause me nothing but headaches and backaches. Can't stand to sit in one. I enjoy standing behind a tree, to either.
Hate a pit
hate a boat
Don't like either. Prefer to boat to the spot, deploy the spread and Mo marsh blinds, hide boat
Depends on where you are hunting. If you are hunting big water, you can sit on the break wall if you want, me, I’ll be in my boat blind. A well concealed pit blind in a rice field works for me also.
