Lesser from Coal Harbour, Nunavut Canada. Banded in 2016. Put a lot of miles under her wings. What an honor to bag such a bird.
I just love banding stories. Doesn’t matter the species either. Songbirds, birds of prey, waterfowl, whatever, every story is unique. I hope banding never goes away, it keeps me goin in the tough times of hunting
That's awesome! I'll definitely be excited if I ever come across one of my birds wearing some jewelry! It's fun to hear / find the history. Wow though, that is a heck of a treck from way up there.
That makes two from me from Nunavet. Last spring I bagged a snow goose from up there too. Just about the same age. We must get quite a few birds from that area through here
All the light geeses we’ve killed in Canada that have been banded are from Nunavut. We mite have one from wrangel island, can’t remember, could be making it up
Better check that band cert coal harbor is British Columbia coral harbour is where ur bird was likely from.
No such thing in Nunavut Cole cold but not coal harbour unless ur talking bc I couldn’t find it at least
