Am coming East with my 1st wife of 58 years next week. Going to Booth Bay for a whale watch cruise. Looking for suggestions on interesting stuff going North. Could go up to Bar Harbor. Any "GREAT" hunting / gun stores in that area? Will be taking in L.L. Bean. Like the coast but am flexible. Thanks.
Not sure how you feel about Cabela's, but they have a store in Scarborough Maine; It's just south of Portland. Further south of Portland and just over the NH border is Kittery Trading Post. They have a nice selection of used and new guns but it is sometimes hard to get someone to help you.

As already posted Kittery Trading Post is a nice visit plus tons of shopping (for wife), and great local restaurants. I always stop at http://www.bobsclamhut.com/
Acadia National park!! Awesome views on the right day great trails to hike and a nice one way drive with pull outs to view! Route 1 along the coast is a great scenic drive. That's my favorite just driving and exploring. Have a great trip! Cadillac mountain around Bar Harbor awesome view and nice short walking trails.
