Looking at booking a trip to waterfowl hunt in Maryland this upcoming season. Looking at Quaker neck gun club for puddle ducks. Anyone have any insight or information about this outfitter? Wanna make sure we get a reputable outfitter and good experience. Thanks in advance.

As far as ducks on the shore....Quaker Neck Gun Club has them for sure. (If anyone does) They control more puddle duck habitat then anyone else (probably on the entire Atlantic flyway).

Whether or not the day(s) you hunt the ducks don’t act nocturnal is another question.

Another good one is Tom Marvel at Chesapeake Guide Service.

Also- keep in mind sometimes ducks on the shore can be few and far between (warm weather years) or totally nocturnal. If the main expectation your looking for is a good time, expect the possibility of having to do a diver or goose hunt if the ducks just are not acting right. It happens. That could be with any good outfitter.

If shooting ducks over flooded corn is your thing you're on the right track.

Mallard limits aren't great here though.

Never hunter it. I feel like your two mallards are a guarantee though. Just not what I would do if I was coming to maryland for a guided hunt.

Why? You here on other business/event and the hunt would be like a day trip? Just want to hunt the Chesapeake?

I ask, because there is a LOT of places I would go to before anywhere in the mid-Atlantic for puddle ducks.

Yes...good outfitter..Web and crew will take good care of you. He has the ducks. Will do ok if you have the weather, other wise the ducks fly to early and to late. Later in the season is usually best.
