South Mississippi Hunting Retriever Club will be having an HRC Judges/Handlers seminar in Hattiesburg/Columbia (I will post exact location when confirmed). It will begin at 9:00 a.m. on May 21. The seminar usually runs until early afternoon. Lunch will be provided. This is a "classroom" seminar with discussion, video, power-point, and audience participation. This is a FREE seminar designed to familiarize handlers and judges with the rules/expectations and some "how to do it better" tips for individuals interested in running their dogs in HRC/UKC Hunt tests at the Started/Seasoned/Finished/Upland/Grand levels. This is NOT just a seminar for folks who want to judge, but will be very helpful for the new handler/participant (like Joel
). Any question you have ever had about HRC hunt tests, this is your opportunity to ask them! The seminar will be presented by HRC Region 5 Field Representative Dr. Tom Weeks.
I will post the specific location when we get it nailed down this week. It will be in either Hattiesburg or Columbia, depending on room availability. When Gander Mt. closed, we lost the "big nice free room."
Please reply to this address with an RSVP e-mail address to let the club know how many folks to plan for lunch, etc. The e-mail address is smshrc2020@gmail.com.
Following the Seminar, there will be a meeting for members/new members/prospective members of South Mississippi HRC to discuss future activities of the club, training day leaders, and officer elections.
We hope to see you there.
