I am not a huge McConnell fan, but this was a brilliant move...

He proposes to let senate members "to go on record..." So they either have to ostracize themselves from the progressive left and recant their initial support, or alienate themselves from the moderate left and moderate right (as well as every conservative in the country).

Ocasio-Cortez has tried to step back saying that the version being propagated is "fake news" and some reports even say that Republicans were the ones posting this to sabotage the Dems... Which very well could be true...

But it does not excuse the Democratic presidential hopefuls who co-sponsored this "fake" proposal...

Interesting and entertaining... You can't make this stuff up...

Gotta' say, I love the smirk on McConnell's face, as he proposes to put this to a vote... Like the cat that ate the canary after dipping it in chocolate...

McConnell knows it's all smoke and mirrors and so do the Democrats, so why not call their bluff and put them in the hot seat? The Dems deserve it for being idiots.

B as in B. S as in S. Why would you believe it could very well be true? It was her office who released the blog on her website and it was her office who later went and pulled it down! Repubs had nothing to do with writing it or posting it - had they - they would not have pulled it down....

It was AOCI who released the blog! The problem is that people went and read it and pointed out how stupid it was - so the blog was pulled off of the website. Then in order to try to save face after they pulled it down they put out a story that it was being spun by the Repubs...

On Feb. 5, the congressional office of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted a new blog entry under “energy issues” detailing her "Green New Deal" proposal and answering “frequently asked questions.”

The page, announcing an 8:30 a.m. launch on Feb. 7, is now gone, and a top adviser suggested Friday it was actually authored and distributed by the GOP.
