The new Tacoma looks badged everywhere in juvenile fashion.
I think my ideal taco would be pre 2016 xtracab 4wd 2.7 4 cylinder stick.
The engine is simplest reliable cheap to own.
Problem with it is the stock 1st gear is way too tall imo.
No power at elevation but it’s a Toyota.
No power is expected. You buy for longevity.
I drove a bench seat one and the padding is good.
Midsize is midsize if you want it. Full size is more capable overall.
I had an 83 just like that except steel wheels.

I’ve driven one at about 5000’ on road and it really needed to be wound up just to maintain momentum unloaded. (Five speed stick)Elevation has been my struggle in deciding what to pick up for my farm truck. We're at 7500' and that absolutely sucks the life from those trucks. I'm better off on a quad in some cases.
