Cracked a back bottom molar today on a BB in a goose. I'm usually very diligent when cleaning them, but one slipped through. I've found couple with my teeth before, but never cracked one...

Not sure when I'll even be able to get it fixed. Dentists are crazy booked after the shutdown and with cleaning between patients.

I have yet to miss a steel pellet 4-shot or larger with the “garret carrot” (pro-pointer AT) worth the money in my opinion.

I have never been able to find bismuth shot. No matter what they seem to get past the detector and often are missed when inspected during food prep.

The Bismuth will cost you more than a dentist bill.

IMO Bismuth is a Band-Aid to the problem of not having enough density at the distances , some of us shoot ? Oh yeah , it does a nice job inside the decoys
and with its ability to be used with Older guns with fixed tight chokes ! Really it's only a few percentage points heavier than Steel Shot and that can be mute
by going up a couple sizes in steel pellets ! When the time comes where you need more from Shot Density , you'd be wiser going with No Less than 12 g/cc
and (maybe) a little smaller shot size which would give you better pattern density ? Other than that , Buy a good magnet to save your teeth !

I dont worry about shot in my goose breasts. See, I now shoot on the edge and always hit them in the head only. About half of them in the eye.

I'm about to order a 600# fishing magnet. I pull/shred most of my goose meat so I figure it'll pull shot out of shredded up meat pretty easily.

Okay I'm interested in this metal detector. I see it for 127 bucks at Amazon, is this thing really worth it?
Also for guys that use magnets on meat for steel shot, what size is needed and does it really work? I'm ready to pull the trigger and purchase this just for the hell of it if someone has specifics
