Some snow goose action this morning with reloads of 1-1/4 and 1-1/6 oz. of steel B's. Don't ask me how I came up with 1/6th or an ounce. Not a clue. But they work good. Ended up with four geese and Polly Pup had fun :l IMG_0025.jpg

Nice. What recipes did you use?
I've got a bunch of Copperhead B loaded with 1oz Lightning steel #2 recipe or maybe 4 I think. Then a bunch of the 9/8 oz HG load, but you can only fit 1-1/16 oz really. Then some of that RSI 470 gr recipe, think its number 65 off top of my head. All sitti g around waiting for goose use someday.

Interested in what you liked for a 1 -1/4 oz recipe.

The 1-1/4 oz. came off the Alliant site for Steel powder.
    3" Fed hull (.090 base) pre-primed with Fed 209's
    36 grains Steel
    Reloading specialties 3 inch wad
    1-1/4 oz. B's

    1430 fps
    10,500 pressure

There are others but I picked this because it doesn't have any fillers or overshot cards. Pretty much just load'er and go. Shoots good.

I first thought those hulls were Rio's but then they looked longer than the 2 3/4" ones I use with 1 1/16 oz +or- ?

Must be the angle of the picture. They do look long don't they?

These Rio's ( 2 3/4" Blue with the short plastic B/W) are the ones I use , they have the volume that allows a little more room for those bigger airgun B's !
They have that distinct sound at report traveling through the air but will cartwheel a Snow or Spec inside 45 yd with no problem ! I also like these hulls
for color identification as well as others I reload in other colors .

My ITX 10 4's are loaded in the blue Rio's too, In my bismuth 2's are loaded in grey AA hulls. Helps to keep them separated.
