Those dogs are so badass. Having a Malinois mix has us talking about and exploring a puppy, in a few years when these ho0unds we have are fully trained up. Our mutt, Millie, is so much fun to have around....just non-stop energy and watchfulness.
Here's Mongo, Dutch/Mal mix...8 weeks old, smart and drive happy

next is him and my lav Odin

Love the ears. :l :l

My only issue with Millie, and I'm sure part of it has to do with the fact that she was a rescue and failed at 3 previous homes before we had her, is that she is ULTRA protective of us. She's the first dog I've had that I KNOW will bite someone if she perceives any threat at all.....and to her, a stranger is a threat to being taken again....and she ain't having it.

I don't mind because we don't have any neighbors to worry about, and I'm happy she's here guarding when I'm not....but it's still not something we don't have to be watchful for. She already pinned the UPS driver in a corner....but that sucker has ran through my yard twice in his truck so he earned it. :l :l

have a class B truck drivers license, no 2 days the same.
Got my class A and pull a lot of equipment around. Very rarely do I feel like I’M gonna die on the road. But every time I leave the shop I meet at least one passenger vehicle that I’m convinced wants me to kill them. The average driver is retarded.

Mongo is ultra protective of my wife, especially when we get playing around. Going to introduce him to bite work this summer.

He absolutely loves kids and his kong

Being a surf photographer my job is rarely “dangerous” but there have been a couple times during big swells that’s things can get harry. I’ve been sucked over the falls on some very big waves. I had a two wave hold down when I was in Fiji that was absolutely terrifying came to the surface with two ruptured eardrums. I’ve been dragged across live coral reefs and had my body cut from head to toe but that’s just more painful than “dangerous”. The dangerous part of those cuts is the staph infection that I got from them. Being in warm tropical humidity with open wounds is never fun.

Is there an aura, kinda like the northern lights that surrounds you on those 5 am trips? Inquiring minds want to know.
Never accumulated much radiation in such a short time. My older brother was the reactor refueling engineer, & I do believe he still has a glowing personality. He called me from the plant one morning (2 am) to come down, suit up & watch him in action. We laid side by side on the bridge crane inches above the pool of water covering the open reactor grid. He manipulated the crane & an “upender” arm to hook fuel rods & feed them vertically into their home in the grid. Reused rods were “bowed” from heat distortion & required easing fore & aft of the crane to lower them in. The rods were 8” square X 15’ long, and glowed purple (full length). I don’t think you’d want to swim your laps in that pool;).

One time, in college, they couldn't get a school van, so they paid a student to use her van for a field trip. Several times, she pulled out in front of a semi. Having just got off construction and hauling utility poles, I asked her, "What the hell are you thinking?" I was informed that if the semi rear-ended us, it would be the truck driver's fault. She didn't get it when I told her she was "DEAD RIGHT."
I think her name was Karen...Really.

My maternal grandma is a very flighty woman and not necessarily known for the sage wisdom many grandparents are. But I was driving with her when I had my learners permit and she said, “Always remember, you can be dead right.” Probably the wisest thing I’ve ever heard her say and it still sticks with me.

Have my Class A as well. Never feels dangerous but always has me fearful. As in, any given moment some dumbchit is going to do something stupid that I can't avoid and then sue me for a gazillion dollars. Like somehow it's always the big truck's fault.

Couple years ago had a guy side swipe into the rear 10' of my 20 ton trailer. Tried to take me to court because I didn't stop or slow down so he could merge out of a far right merge lane that he was coming to the end of. Thankfully the LEO was on my side and judge immediately thew it out. I sub-contract moving all my permitted load equipment. Don't even own a tractor & lowboy. Just not worth it.

Back to the original question..... thanks to all those who have the truly dangerous jobs. Soldiers, FF's & LEO's, many others in high risk occupations are largely under appreciated IMO.
What I do can be dangerous, but generally isn't all that much. I actually took all my hard lumps in life growing up on the farm.
