Duck Hunting is west KY is definitely changing... not seeing the numbers we once saw just 4 years ago however my little one killed his first back duck yesterday. That made his year and as a dad mine too! B6F7DFF7-4FE7-440C-B34B-E971A4FE4531.jpeg

Hunting with your own kids is a pleasure !!!

Im guessing on the number of ducks, but as a Kid and young man, up to age thirty I killed 400 ducks mostly in MN.4-5 were blackducks.
    Killed 1 in Utah

Well we all have been hearing the flyways are moving west, I’m beginning to wonder. Here in west KY The last 2-3 years we have seen an uptick in black ducks and gadwall numbers are gone. Also my last banded mallard was from New York and the last 2 that friends have taken we’re from Ohio.

What ducks are in West KY are shy of everything! Even live ducks. Watched bunch after bunch flaring off live ducks all season long, in a spot we used to stomp them. Tough hunting.

    Congrats on the trophy!

Congrats!!! My son killed his first goose yesterday. You are not lieing about it having changed in the last 4 years in WKY. Yesterday was a prime example. We saw maybe 20 geese and 1 Duck at a spot I have killed consistently for the last 2 decades and its been that way all season.
