No... not that kind of joint  :l

I've tried commercial rust breakers, penetrating teflon spray, brake fluid, heating with a torch and whacking with a hammer while cussing after every failed method.

These parts are supposed to move, but you wouldn't know it.

Is there a method I've overlooked? :scratch I gotta get things moving. :z

J - it's gonna take a big batch of fluid to soak this jackPLATE. (Edit - if they was jackstands, they'd have been in the dumpster long ago, Even I'm not that cheap.)

Thanks for the replies, guys. I have tried PB Blaster and Breakfree, and have run out of cuss words to use and find myself repeating the list. Though I have come up with some unique combinations of disparraging terms it's still not helping!)

He's right. sold by Kano Labs, you can google it and order since I don't think it is avaialbe in stores, is it?.

I remember hearing avout dowsing frozen parts with Coca Cola to free up joints. Anyone ever try it? Sounds unlikely to me.

Stripped an old desk with Coke or Diet coke once not sure if it would work on a seized jack stand but wouldn't cost too much to try.

Sounds like you need to toss the stand. You can buy a pair of new jack stands pretty cheap.

PB Blaster, they sell it at most places the stuff is amazing. I would hit it with that and let it sit for a bit and then maybe hit it one more time. If PB blaster doesn't work the next step is usually a cutting torch. :yes
