Watching this, thinking about purchasing a Marauder. Went down to South Florida in January and shot some iguanas with one. Had an absolute blast.
When I go to OK in a week or so I’ll take mine and zero the scope at 30 yards, start breaking the barrel in with 50+ target rounds, etc. Then I’ll do some starling eradication around might parents bird houses/barn. Surprisingly, there are very few sparrows around their property.I have killed 3 starlings and a sparrow this morning off my martin houses with my marauder. 4 for 4
I sit in my "sniper's lair"...... shoot from inside the house in dark bedroom with the window up. Just sit and wait! When I go to OK in a week or so I’ll take mine and zero the scope at 30 yards, start breaking the barrel in with 50+ target rounds, etc. Then I’ll do some starling eradication around might parents bird houses/barn. 4 for 4 is impressive, especially with starlings since they spook so easy.
Mine drives tacks with that pellet in .177 caliberI’m in Oklahoma and started the task of zeroing the rifle/scope at 30 yards. My Marauder seems to like the JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy Diabold (18.13 gr) pellets. The wind has been howling for 2 days (20mph+) which complicated the zeroing process. I sort of compensated for it by shooting with the wind at my back. Grouping, so far, is as hoped for, especially since I’m shooting with pillows instead of my Lead Sled. When the wind dies down tomorrow evening I bet I can shoot a dime group. The little cheap Chinese compressor is doing its job much better and faster than anticipated.

Below is where I started and finished with my first attempt to dial it in. Normally it only takes 3 to 5 shots to hit the mark but the wind was blowing so hard I had to take a lot of extra shots. The first shot of the string was on the far right and I adjusted the windage and elevation from there. The last four shots were getting closer. I’m hoping the wind lays down tonight so I can confirm it’s zeroed at 30 yards. Then the starlings and feral cats will be in trouble.Mine drives tacks with that pellet in .177 caliber
