Shot the pattern board. 70/30. Even left to right. The function was trouble free. The only problem was the cheapest pile of crap front bead popped off at shell number 20. Couldnt find it in the grass for quite a while. Looked it up as a replacement part, $20 and sold out. Luckily i found it. I will trim the flashing and super glue it in. Its embarrassingly cheap

You'd think for what those guns cost front sight wouldn't be quite so fragile. I,ve replaced several of my factory front beads on Benelli's and others with the Hi-Vis Competition front sight. Like them a lot especially shooting at first light. Very low profile front light pipe housing thats snug to rib and with a drop of blue Loctite on screw during install doesn,t budge.

Drop of blue loctite isn't a bad idea for the screw that holds the rib in either...

I would love to be able to lock-tite the site screw if it had one... its just pressed in cheapest plastic tube holder i have ever seen. I will trim all the plastic flashing before i snap it in.

I can,t believe Benelli used a pressed in front sight on an SBE! Thats 870 Express finish and shouldn't have been used on any gun at that price point. You could always drill & tap rib for a screw in sight. Thats the solution i,d follow

I like a bead, not sure why on a hunting gun with all the different clothes and different positions, sitting ,standing or overhead a person would leave the bead off. Its just a cheap way they decided to design it. I am putting it in today, will shoot a couple boxes of trap and see...

Not recommending you leave it off, just saying I wouldn’t be handicapped without it.

I have never seen a bead like that on any SBE. They thread in and look like this on the newer models. SBE3 20 gauge pictured.
