What is the advatage (real or supposed) to a carbon rib?
Just that it won't bend?
I think weight/balance, supposedly.

My guess is cause carbon fiber sounds cool. And it’s prob cheaper. I can’t think of any meaningful advantage. I haven’t had a steel rib rust off any gun I own. What is the advatage (real or supposed) to a carbon rib?

...If anyone hasnt bent/dented their steel rib then you probably wont have any issues with the fiber one as well.
My camo Cynergy has seen it all. No rust. My 1187 had a little freckling on the barrel. It’s been under salt water. I do hose off my guns with fresh water after most hunts and then wipe them down and let them air dry. Seems to work.My maxus, sx4 rusted. The new beretta 28ga is already rusting. The camo cynergy was the worst for rusting. I am liking the gun so far except the sight design, super glue seems to have fixed it.
