Having pulled a travel trailer I would lean to the sprinter type camper if it’s big enough for your needs.

A toilet and shower in a sprinter van doesn’t sound practical to me due to the amount of space it would take up.

I agree with the others in that renting different rigs first is essential.

RV’s basically self destruct. Their value deteriorates very rapidly.

Wife and I rented a bunch of different sizes to determine best for us. Then decided to just rent for each trip instead of buying. So far so good, we haven’t found anything we like enough to buy but having fun.

Not based on the used prices I'm seeing. Worse than boats...

This is exactly why rental women should be legal.

We got our first camper in 2011. Used 36' 5th wheel. Retired in 2012. Sold the 36 cause it was too big and got a used 29' 5th wheel. Sold that cause it was getting old. We now have a new 29rs reflection. Love it.
Still have the older slide on truck camper we bought when we went to Alaska.

We usually head someplace warm for 3 months in winter and camp locally a few times in the summer. We have now camped in every state west of the Mississipp, except Hawaii.

Each one had its pluses and minuses. If you aren't sure what you want, renting is an excellent way to go.

Whatever you do, enjoy the great state and national parks this nation has to offer!

The C-19 has the RV market , just like the boat market, in a lather. Bad time to buy when everyone else wants to buy.
