Duck hunting expensive.
Taking kids Priceless.

a good time was had by all. Glad we got one group of Gadwall to commit. It was a mid day hunt with low expectation

I am investigating BOSS 3/5s.

If I assume a limit of birds per box of shells with steel. Which I did better than that some trips but right up to the edge on others. That means that I would have to kill a limit of birds with 13 shells vs 25 to make it come out even financially. But when I think of the number of waterswats It may actually achieve that.

In addition, I think of the number of times I feathered birds but they did not fall. Ot ones that fell that pulled the ole submarine trick and were not retrieved. The extra $100 may actually be worth it.

Hmmmm........
I use the 3s in my 16 Ga and have had good success.

I am contemplating the same shells boss#5 , I am thinking the extra coat should pan out or come close, between water swating cripples, and watching ducks sail off after being hit. It's just so hard to pull the trigger with boss prices.

I’ve shot Boss for the last 3 years. 3in 3 shot and have been impressed. It hits the birds good. The ammo world is crazy right now. Boss is more but compared to how expensive bad loads are. I don’t mind paying a little extra.

Probably try some dimensional changes on my permanent blinds and try to brush them out better or differently. Some new clubs have started near where I hunt and they seem to hunt daily and all day. The sheer pressure they are now placing on the birds in my area has really smartened them up and made them blind and decoy shy. Going to have to change my game up some.
