Finished with a bang last weekend, Friday hunted by myself on the river, shot 7 mallards, easy hunt. Saturday 3 of us hunted a pond and only shot 3 birds by 8:30. I was really second guessing my plan for the day when someone flipped the duck switch and we got swarmed by one flock after another. We limited on teal, mallards and pintails by 9:30, the dog was very busy. Returned for Sunday and it was the same thing, nothing by 8:30 then here came the birds and we limited by 10:30. What a show! Flock after flock of pintails circling forever before landing and huge swarms of greenwings screaming at corntop height made for some tough shooting but a very fun day. I need to take more pics.
