Funny you say this, Just today I set out 6 new traps out in the shop I have to stay on them or they get out of control!!

Peanut butter is good. I set the traps end to end with the triggers in the middle and about an inch between. If they are careful on the nibble trigger they trip the other trigger with their legs.
