When I first got married late 80’s, I lived beside the Chief of Field Operations for the NCWRC Enforcement Division (pretty sure that was his title). Suffice to say he had been a game warden for many moons. He and one of his warden buddies were at his house one morning when I came home from a duck hunt. I had killed a limit of gads (extremely unusual for me to kill a limit back then with particular focus on extremely haha) so I go over and show them. Both of them said, “what kind of ducks are those”. I thought they were joking but they assured me that they had no clue

Yeah, how ironic was it to hear about all these sightings, only to see them highlighted on the Fed duck stamp.
