Probably like a lot of guys, I have a shoebox full of old calls dating back to the 70’s. All of them were used and sounded great at one time. Today, they are all out of tune, some have the barrels stuck, and therefore they are pretty much functionally obsolete. Box includes 3 Ken Martin calls, a handful of Olt calls, and an assortment of Lohman, Yentzen, Mallardtones, and others.

I would like to try to get some or all of them back in shape to take out in the field, but my brain tells me I would just screw them up more if I tackled this project on my own. I realize some of them are not worth much at all, but it would still be nice to get them fixed up.

Is there anybody out there who does this sort of task as a hobby or who would be interested in fixing them up on the cheap? Maybe keep a few for the trouble.

I tune a lot of calls, and run a handful during each season. If you would like advice on tuning shoot me a pm and I will attempt to help you. Most of my tuning experience is on modified ps olts, cut down calls, and j frames. If there is any way I can help let me know!

DJ Calls can probably fix up the Olts. Yentzen Calls are still in business and could probably help you out. Mallardtones are still being made if I remember right. As for the Ken Martin Calls, are they duck or goose calls? I can probably get you pictures of some guts in tunes Calls.
