I've tested and my half gallon jars don't hold a half gallon it's a slight deception. I don't say anything because I fill them up to the line View attachment 326229
It holds around 6 pounds.

It will be great. If it’s too sweet for your taste just add a little bourbon at a time until it suits you. You won’t be dissatisfied.
