I meant Bills, Duh
That old school look is my favorite.
I need to get back to working on my rig. I haven't carved a bit since my eye surgery 2 years ago. I thinks it's going to be hard with 1 working eye. I know painting isn't real easy anymore.
Thanks Billy Bob. Don't worry, I have 20/300 vision in my left eye and it doesn't bother me carving. Painting I've learned to take the colors outside in the daylight to mix them. I can't trust inside light.
Those turned out great! If you don't like the "skeletal" look you can use some string to make some horizontal stringers to fill out the body some. All personal preference, I don't think the ducks will care either way.
I started my V-Board broke the today.
Also built a pair of Tournament Racks for my kids trap team. Each one will fit 16-guns and the tables are set up to hold 5-boxes of shells per side. When they shoot their state shoot they shoot 2/rounds of trap in the morning and two again in the afternoon. They only get enough time between rounds to toss their empties and grab a new box. This will allow us to stage multiple squads and keep the day moving.
Those racks are really nice. When my sons were young we used to shoot trap every Friday night, we had some great times. My youngest was a natural,12 years old, first time shooting trap he broke 23 birds.
With the cost of lumber, you made a heck of an investment....!
I use Timberwolf 1/4" 4 tpi, they last a good long time and if you order direct from Timberwolf, I got them for less than $25/ea + shipping. fyi
I tried not to go too crazy with these. Did a dozen of them for a V-Board project. 10-Drakes and 2-Hens in the dozen. Drakes being much more visible.
