On the Bench in 2023

Not a decoy but duck hunting related. Haven't been making chips for a while but it did warm up enough to use the heater in the shop enough so I couldn't see my breath. Anyway made a few duck stringers for a couple of friends. Just simple paracord with braided handle but very functional. Not effected but water and pretty tough.

@creedsduckman - awesome bird and back story. He's proud, and how cool that he got to see it.....I know it would be a comfort to me if I was in his shoes. Good on you for hustling on it.

My buddy had a table and I told his family I would work it for him. I took that canvas swan and sold it. I gotta make one to replace that one and a guy that saw the other one texted me to order one today.
well you did it to yourself. Always nice to have your work appreciated though. Do you dowel the joints or use any fasteners at all?

I'm glad, gives me an excuse to make more. I told the guys putting on the show I want a table next year. One of them is the guy that ordered one today. I got alot of compliments on it.
I used dowel screws and glue to put the head/neck together on the last one.
Hope you didn't take my comment wrong. Was just funnin you on making it for your rig and then selling it.
I've not made one with the s curve neck yet. But I do understand the need for the pieces due to the wood grain. Just wondered how you handled the joints. Thanks for the info.
