I am missing the opener and duck camp this year, so what's on your menu for the coming weekend festivities. I know not to dare ask for pictures of duck straps, but maybe a clue into your culinary talents. Pictures of table fare and recipes are always welcomed. This should be a contest between refuges or duck clubs for bragging rites. Enjoy the festivities that come with the tradition of opening weekend of duck season, a tradition I might add that has been handed down through generations.

If I were in California, and going to hunt the Valley, it'd be Louis Cairo's Friday night. Otherwise I'd likely cook a steak or venison maybe.

I’ll cook up breakfast Saturday morning before we hit the range. No spot to hunt Saturday so we’re going to go shoot some clays.

Well that would make it hard to live there! We get this lamb from a little butcher shop in Millbrae. Best lamb I've ever had.
