Call Steve at Hammer bullets- sure he can help you out with reloading info or who loads those bullets. Pretty deadly and non lead. I switched from Barnes and a big improvement

If I'm shooting copper, they're my go to bullet.

I used to think it was a stupid law until I had a kid and got to reading about elevated lead levels and the effects they have on children and brain development. I ain't goin to knowingly poison my kid. I'm strongly considering going to hammers and loading for all my rifles and loading bismuth for my shotguns.

Y'all do what y'all want, but that's my take on it.

My go to load for the 270 is a 130 gr TTSX Barnes over 59 grs. of H4831. Shoots great out of my old Weatherby 20" with a 1:10" twist. I believe just a bit under 3000 fps. The 150 gr Barnes need a 1:9.5" or faster according to Barnes.

Another vote for Barnes TTSX, or LRX if you can find them.
It took me over a year to get a couple boxes of Barnes 140 gr. LRX for my 7 Mag

I haven't found the right loads for my 7mm,or my 300 win mag, i have loads that work for them,But i agree with on the Hornady outfitter my 243 loves them..
For me my 300 loves accubonds 180 g from federal. Had a buddy reload some also same 180 accubonds and I can't tell the difference between them. Less than one in groups for both. Problem with them is not legal in California.

There's a few outfits that will build custom ammo for you using them. I saw it last year when I was getting low on them. End up switching to outfitters and found 4 boxes of it.

I've killed animals with both. I've lost animals with both. One reason I like the Barnes stuff is they were one of early one's in the solid copper game.

Only critter I ever shot with copper was dead on impact, but it was 75 yards away. I never lost anything with a corelock or federal power point.
