I still use a few of those. Black and white turns them into nice bufflehead decoys but I don't often shoot buffleheads..

I repainted mine. Had to weight the keels.. they kept flipping over in anything stronger than a breeze. Use'm every season.

Kramer has been shot and repaired before.
X-rays shows two head holes that were repaired.
    Has hole in his lips.

Found holes. He'd been shot from both sides.
Test one more time then plug his brain hole up.

Expanding insulating foam works well. One time repair.. Kramer can keep getting shot after that.

I found 2 dozen once. Brand new. Do not let your dekes soak overnight in a public spot, especially if you are not returning in the AM!

We set up in the dark. His lifeless, unattended spread materialized at daybreak. Screwed up the birds and our hunt. We were not too pleased but Canadian enough about it to stick the dekes on land in a juniper bush when we left.
At some point buddy returned (presumably in the dark), didn't see his dekes, got pizzed off, grabbed the rest of his stuff and left for good.. not knowing he was 10ft from his 24 Storm Fronts. They now reside in our decoy shed :)

Is it legal there to leave decoys out?
