Park Geese

My brother and i did get a legit 20lb back in late 70's on North Lake So of Hasting's MN by the Mississippi. It was a pair only got one we had no Honker decoy's out or a goose call we rarely saw a goose. Did have out about 10 DZ Mallards. Took it to my brothers little corner store LOU'S Market on White Bear Ave & Maryland Ave to see it's weight he also had a certified scale.East side St.Paul people will remember the store. We did think about getting it mounted but was going to cost way more than we had available at the time. We regret it all the year's since. Geese are common for us now we get them almost every duck hunt and we will get 2-3 12-14lbers every year. We do have a picture of it with me as far as i could stretch holding out the wing's and the tip's are about 10-12 inch's past my hands. That's my 2cent's worth on this subject.

The swamp donkey on the far right is the biggest goose I've ever shot. It was right at 14 pounds. The geese to the left were all 11 to 12 pounds for comparison.
