Hey guys. I'm in Knoxville for the weekend for the bassmasters classic. I'd like to take a day tomorrow to explore. Would love to find some nice places to park and enjoy a good river bank. Little pigeon, French broad, Holston, any other recommendation's would be appreciated. If you could think of any parks too with scenic walks that would be awesome.

Was at the Classic Friday and Saturday. You’re close to one of the most scenic parks in the country.

Yeah I thought about it. Not sure where to even begin with that park though or how long it would take to see some of it

I haven’t been to the park in over 20 years. Could always do the Cades Cove Loop. There’s a reason it’s the most visited part of the park.

West of Knox off of 40 is Kingston, exit 352, about 30 min. Several miles of paved walking trail right next to the bank. Waters down right now on Watts Bar but the trail is always in perfect shape. Roane county park about 15 min up HWY 72 from there is another long walking trail if you still have more walking you want to do.
As suggested from Bill, Gatlinburg and Cades Cove would be a destination as well, you’re looking at tying up a whole day there though, by time you get to Cades Cove and make the loop. We’ve got several restaurants and Marinas that offer great views as well on the river banks. Hope this helps

Thanks for the help guys. We took a drive out to Cades Cove to enjoy the early afternoon before heading back to weigh in.
