I’m sure many of you have seen Phil’s design for his low profile blind build. Has anyone done anything similar but with a slightly higher profile? I’ve found a few other builds I like but nothing that’s sold me yet. Seasons over here so already looking forward to new blinds for next year
Weird timing, I haven't logged into here for quite some time and found this! IowaWaterfowler...I would recommend doing as you were looking at doing and making it a little more high profile. It can be a bit difficult for guys to shoot out of if they aren't used to it and it's also a pretty specific needs type of blind. I am actually going to re-do that boat with a slightly higher blind, probably one where we will sit on low stools but at least be more upright.
That looks a lot like the gen 2 gator hide. There are some good photos of it here http://gatortraxboats.com/fleet/fleet-photos/
Yep it’s slightly similar to that, I don’t know if that was out when I made this one or not...I know they made the one that didn’t have any back on it at that time, where you just sat down in a hole with flaps over it. As far as the next podcast I’m getting ready to do some once duck season is over. I’ve been all over the last few months so I haven’t been focusing on that but they will be back!
Good to hear it! I listened to those podcasts and you know a ton of waterfowl people. I can't even get a reliable hunting partner and you know everyone in 10 different states!
