I did not think WI or IL will ever get a sandhill season due to the whooping cranes in the fly way?

Considering I didn't hunt even once this season, I saw more swans & cranes than I ever have. Middle of the season, there were a handful I saw around the St. Chuck clubs. There was a
pair in the water hole on C between Dardenne & Mr. Busch's place. Dang swans were all over. Had several flying around here (Foristell). A couple weeks ago, there were multiple flocks feeding in the bottoms just upriver from you @WuChang .

Few years back multiple days of big west winds had blown a lot of cranes off course and more into my neck of the woods. It isn’t uncommon to see them migrate over but we seldom ever have any stop over. Well that year we had a flock of about 50 stay for a few days and feed on our cornfield. Had to keep very quiet about it, however…there were three whoopers in the mix. Figured we’d see our hunting shut down while the birds were around if Mr. Green Jeans caught wind.

North of Hermann on the Loutre? Or more towards Chamois?
