Slow locally is what I heard. I slept in. Haven't scouted in ky and had stuff going on this afternoon. Still working on spot in TN so won't hunt tomorrow either. Maybe deer in the afternoon if I get my work done down south.
It was slow where I was. Not many big ducks, and what little I did see, were acting like late season ducks. I had a late season setup, and made no difference. Several wooducks though.
Scouted boatwright Wednesday and liked what I saw duck wise but there was a car on every blind. Everyone I talked to had been camped for most of the week.
We showed up yesterday around 230pm and set up camp. Had a great time enjoying the company of some good friends.
Set up the spread and was ready to hunt at 530am, hoping to have enough time for birds to land in and loaf until shooting time.
LST rolls around, nothing. 7am rolls around, nothing. By 8am we had seen a total of 6 birds and they all knew where they were going and were high enough to not even think about grabbing the shotguns.
Left without shouldering a gun.
It's bad slow where I was, except for some woodies. So, slow in fact, it will be awhile before I go back. Saw maybe 50 big ducks, and they weren't the least interesting in anything I had. They would work live ducks, and then light somewhere else alone
