    Rel stopped me from shooting a banded egret that stood in the decoys for ten minutes, which I’m still upset about.

    Colusa Pool 1 ........ what a nightmare!

    Crowding, yelling, getting peppered with shot, I think there were even several physical fights.

    Feds were forced to turn it into assigned areas but you can still get hunters much closer than 100 yards to each other. They probably need no-man's land buffer zones between the assigned areas to keep the mouth-breathers at bay.

    I've walked by Pool 1 many times. Never stepped in it. Never wanted to. I don't think I would even with reservation #1.


    Colusa Pool 1 - premier mallard hunting, straps of green floating out of the sky. If you've never hunted this waterfowl mecca you need to. Wear your Kevlar.
