There's one for sure
I have been getting quite a few messages and texts lol
And a few that are no longer members of the forum.
Merlo and I had a run in with a guy off the forum here in Pond 4 at Colusa years ago. We had a reservation and the spot and this freakazoid comes in and sets up about 100 yards away. OK, fine, that's the norm out there. Well when the mallards started flying, he just kept creeping closer and closer and closer until he was within the sphere and shot a couple on the swing. Mike and I were shooting well and the birds were close so he'd have the spot soon if he'd just not be a mouth breathing idiot and wait for us to be done. He finally got the hint after a few "spirited suggestions" from myself.
He did it to me again in LDC in Blood Alley. Again, we had a ressie, he was a lotto entry and tried to get to the X. Just idiocy.
I guess I'm lucky as I've had a lot of bad experiences with people on the refuges. I'm a free roam advocate and prefer it most of the time as I like the freedom but you can't blame an area manager for not wanting to deal with the BS the popular places seem to have and make those places assigned ponds. Whenever I'd have a run in with these idiots, I let them know that their actions are why we lost so many solid free roam areas and will continue to do so, although there's not many left.
Just look at all the spots that were free roam and are now AP's because people couldn't help themselves.
The 11's @ LDC.
Colusa P1 and P2
I can just never understand why you'd want to hunt so close to someone...........................
And 100 yards is way too damn close in my opinion.
If you and the Rattlesnake would have simply invited me over it would have saved a-lot of headache. Not that hard to be civil. I wasn’t that close by the way. 120 yards is not 100.
Hence my theory on being the very last one out of the PL. So much easier to find a secluded spot, away from the X, in a quiet little corner where nobody is at. Makes for a much more enjoyable outing.
It hurts my mind when I pull a good ressie, hop into my kill hole on the X, and watch as the flashlights come closer and closer, and now we have a discussion with a duckhunter who could care less about anyone but themselves and a damn duck.
They aren't duck hunters
Vanilla. I still laugh at the thought of that ridiculous post.
I love public land.
