Short story:
He's nine months now. Entered our world with a promise, as most pups do. He promised to be the best he could if I could show him the way. He promised to get me back into hunting and get working certified and hunt tested. Promised to family dog and buddy. What most people say about him is he's a happy dog. When papa puts his paws (shoes) on his eyes exudes joy....it's training time....or just a ride around town. The breeder's daughter named all the pups after coffee or coffee places to keep track of them, she missed one, we named him Java.
There was another Golden, some thirty years past...
To speak of him will cost you some 15 year old scotch. I thought another Golden would be replacing that one. Not true. A continuation. So many years missed.
Here's a papa got paws on look.
I know the same story.

Maybe I could meet him.
He looks like a Webshire "Fridge" dog.

I have one.
Couldn't be happier.

I don't believe for one minute that this story is about golden's only, I believe that any waterfowler that has ever owned any breed and had their "one", has lived this exact scenario, including myself right now. My continuation will be 3 years old Friday. Where does the time go?

As we get later in life, we realize the value of the time spent with these creatures.
As I try to make time with my pup slow down, it ignores me and speeds up.

I Relish each moment with my pup.
Me too!
