About how often should we give out lab a bath/shower. We’ve had her for a week now, the breeder gave her a bath before we left and I gave her one the other day. I was working with some bee frames and she was under me, dropped some honey on her. Just looking for an idea on how often. Thanks

I don’t have a problem here. My wife will tell me when. No seriously a pup that not exposed to the extreme temperatures and the use of a quality shampoo I would not worry about frequently baths. The worst side effects I have seen is dandruff.

I don't want shampoo washing away any of the natural oil in the dog's coat.

I typically throw a bumper or 2 in clear water to wash the mud off and call it good.

I will take a 5 gallon bucket of warm water after the last duck hunt of the year to wash the mud and silt off.
    Our labs are inside dogs....

I give mine a bath ever other week or so, he is an inside dog. I just use warm water though, only used shampoo once after he rolled in something.

I avoid shampoo if at all possible. Really just use water.

This is the Tycho pup, right?

We are breeding ours later this year. Waiting on genetic testing to come back, then off to do hip and eye certifications. Send a pic of your girl, if you don't mind - my daughter (who is handler/best friend/etc of our Millie) would live to see little sis.

This guy gets a bath once a year maybe twice and only if his skin needs anti bacterial antifungal treatment. He don't stink much but his breath is pretty bad.

    Carpet house pet.
He jumps in bed when I get up and snuggles with mama so he must be somewhat clean.
