Mounted this pair of Specks for a buddy ... And I've killed and mounted more Specks than I can count and never seen any like these , the top one is what my buddy calls a Chocolate Chip belly (all white belly and side pockets , black spots)Really Cool ...the bottom one has black from the white patch edge and around the eyes .. Just curious as to if anybody shoots specks like these often ?
Just mounted the CC belly Fri ...ways to go but they look dead .. 20190424_122034.jpg 20190419_155052.jpg

No, don't believe so. The orange legs and black splotches on their chests are very unusual :h.

I’m more impressed with the pink bills. Got a little snow in em!

All of my specks are rare...if not they’re over-cooked.

Thanks guys I guess I just don't kill enough of them ......
Bills on Specks and Snows vary in color a bunch and these happen to be super light pink ...
Dead Mounts must be popular or could be they saw a few in my shop I was working on and decided to do that instead of flying mounts .... I know they go in the taxidermy forum but I'm not looking for business , I've got more than I want right now and I'm ready to start Stick n Fish :grvn :clapstarting with Stripers and some big Spots at Bullards...... bird work is done till late fall /winter ........just wanted to share a few cool mounts of birds killed up in NCaL ..... Fat SOBs , every bird from the rice without fail is full of fat and twice the work .. Anyway these aren't done yet , the one on barn wood will be on a duck strap whenever I get it from my buddy ....
