Soon as I cross the Missouri River I got distracted I noticed gas was $3.19 and was ready to pull off until I saw these guys

Then I had experience I haven't hadn't 40 some years busy talking to Tim and tell him about the geese that I saw and I ran out of gas about half a mile from a gas station

3.09 plenty of snow

I’d think Yankton to Elk Point along the river may be your only shot

I am in Rapid City tonight heading that way. Decided I would stay in a hotel. It is half empty even though the state high school basketball tournament is here. Lots of cancellations by folks coming from Sioux Falls or pretty much anywhere east of Mitchell. It’s pretty bad when South Dakotans throw in the towel on driving. I did hear that all or part of I-90 east of Mitchell was closed.

Salt, I hope you will fire up the generator tonight.

Well I woke up and thought better of doing this by myself so I called the sheriff department and see you in the plow is going to be back out here cuz I could see the plow lights flashing on to the north.
Just ran out of gas propane in the one tank then I decided to call the sheriff's department to find out the best way to get out of here.

Pictures to come when it turns light out
12° right now,
3/4 tank of gas in the pickup once it's light enough

My wife gave me permission to call for a tow truck.

I’d say head south and start checking for geese from Wagner and east. Should be loaded up around Springfield. After about noon today we will have no snow left south of hwy 46 to the Missouri River. I’m guessing the geese that pushed back south will be back in the area by noon to mid afternoon. It’s going to be a muddy mess
